1/4 c. rubbing alcohol
1/4 c. white vinegar
1 Tbsp cornstarch
2 c. warm water
Combine everything in a spray bottle, and shake well. Shake well before using, too, as the cornstarch might settle at the bottom (and subsequently plug the spray mechanism if it's not mixed in well).
1/4 c. vinegar = $0.20
1/4 c. rubbing alcohol = $0.25
1 Tbsp cornstarch = $0.03
2 c. water = virtually free, except for the water bill part, so let's say $0.000001
Grand Total: $0.48
You can also just use rubbing alcohol and some distilled water, if you don't have vinegar and cornstarch. I've actually never heard of the cornstarch part before—interesting.
This mix is really good on glass, aluminum, or any smooth surface were you had a haze issue or just want it back to like new condition. It will make glass look like it was new born. ;-)
The cornstarch acts like a polish, you can make a paste from it and polish silverware back to a sparkle as well. Cornstarch is pretty versatile in the home and shop.
