Every Apple computer running Mac OS X comes with a handy application called Terminal… MacBooks, MacBook Pros, Mac Pros, iMacs, etc. They all have Apple Terminal, and it can be found in your Utilities folder in Applications. Which means you can use it.

Terminal is an emulator that allows users to interact with their computers through command line interface. Terminal on the Mac is a Cocoa app that pipes stdin (standard in) and stdout (standard out) from the /bin/bash executable file to a human readable application.
