How to Disable Automatic Updates in Windows 7

Step 1: Click Start, Type Windows Update in the Search Box, and Then Click Windows Update in the Programs List.

Step 2: In the Left Pane, Click Change Settings.

Step 3: Select the Option That You Want.

Step 4: Under Recommended updates, select the Give me recommended updates the same way I receive important updates or Include recommended updates when downloading, installing, or notifying me about updates check box, and then click OK.
